Let’s start with which one is the best for now. Uber still tops the list with the most consistent drives to take and having the option to do just Uber Eats deliveries or just taking riders or keeping both on.
Lyft is great to have on deck when Uber is slow. Just make sure you are still down to give people rides instead of deliveries.
If you want to stick to deliveries, Postmates, Doordash, and Grubhub are most likely the best alternatives to Uber Eats.
I’ve been ridesharing for about 3 years so I can say I’ve found a system that works in a pinch. And in my process of getting out of the ridesharing biz, I still enjoy the fact that I can work with my own schedule, while working on my potentially more lucrative projects, like this blog, martial arts, and artistry in general.
Figure out if you want to give people rides, do deliveries, or simply don’t care as long as you’re making extra cash on your own time.
First of all, get a referral code when you sign up. You’ll receive a bonus for completing a certain number of drives within an allotted time frame (usually a month). But do one at a time if you’re planning on getting on multiple platforms. I would highly suggest Uber as the starter.
Here’s my codes if you want to sign up, and we both potentially make extra money on top of what you get at the base level.

If driving for cash, know that the Law of Attraction is always at work. If you’re not in the right state of mind, your experience will not be pleasant save for a few good souls who can life your spirits up. If you are in a positive state of mind, know that most of your rides will be frickin awesome in some shape or form if you let them be. Also bear in mind that the effects of the law of attraction can also be delayed. Either way, this shit is real whether you believe in it or not. It’s like gravity, you don’t have to believe in gravity to experience its effects.
You can make money at any point during the day, but patience and positioning play a crucial role in determining your returns.
Deliveries are best when you don’t want to deal with rush hour traffic (but still want to drive during rush hour times), or if you want to stay in a certain area without venturing too far. There’s less money per hour if not driving at peak times, but there’s also less headache.
Speaking of times, you may wonder..what’s the best time to drive? It depends. How do you like rush hour traffic? If you hate it, don’t do it. Need the most money ASAP though? Might be a good idea to be okay with it.
