Journaling is a practice that I’ve had for years. While I haven’t been as consistent as I’d like to be, it’s one thing that I do at least every other day. Here’s some benefits of journaling to see how it may help you.
One benefit is clarity. It lets you dump your thoughts on to paper, whether that’s digital or physical. Regardless of the form, when the mind is cluttered, the days can feel like a blur. Sometimes our minds go from one thing to the next, not knowing which direction to particularly go. But when we can unknot the kink in the hose, ideas will flow through better throughout the day.
It also helps to connect to the super conscious mind. Let’s say you’ve been so deep in your thoughts that you don’t even know the difference between your intuition and your fight/flight/freeze brain. Journaling lets you sort through your thoughts in a cohesive manner. You can feel the difference if you read back what you wrote to yourself. That alone can help you discern the types of thoughts that run through your head.
Lastly, it can help you become more successful in any endeavor. Some of the most successful people journal. They can plan the day ahead, list what they’re grateful for, and literally see what they could have done better and act accordingly. Some use it to jot down novel ideas, brain dump, or brain storm. Inventions and sketches to masterpieces were made this way.
As a bonus, it can help manifest the best that life has to offer. If you can speak to the universe in the present tense and either write it down or speak to yourself in video form, as if the things that you wish manifested as already happened, then you can spark the law of attraction.
The universe only knows yes. So what you think with emotion comes true. This is why when you’re grateful, great happenings keep coming your way. When you’re fearful, the only things you notice spiral negatively.
You have the power to take control of your life, and journaling is another tool that can help you do this for yourself.
